THE MORNINGTON PENINSULA BANDICOOT IS ON THE MARCH!
Forgive this garish introduction to a humble announcement. You will find the Mornington Peninsula Bandicoot on Facebook, soon to be followed by a website of the same name. Delayed by a computer meltdown. [A critic writes: “Much improvement needed to Facebook page design: too early to critique copy.”] With which I agree, being (at my advanced stage of life) an utter online tyro.
The first story is a good one — councillor asked to repay $12,500 allowance overspend. The Tuesday night council meeting will be lively. As will the report to be posted on Facebook and the web (I hope) the following day — just like a daily newspaper. I’ll beat my weekly print opposition by seven days!
If you like the idea, spread the word. And let me know. It will be www.morningtonpeninsulabandicoot.com.au — one of those sites to save to your Favourites.
Pretty little creatures, bandicoots; they’re making a comeback on the peninsula. They will get their own column on the website, along with other locals including the Powerful Owl and the Swamp Skink. As will The Emu, and Council Watch, and gossip. And more. PM Malcolm, you’re right — it’s an exciting time to be alive!
